Destination: Lake Garda & Lake Como - Italy. June 2017
The largest lake in Italy is a hugely popular holiday destination not only for Italians but also for Europeans wanting to indulge in adventure sports. It’s about halfway between Brescia and Verona, and between Venice and Milan and is the perfect holiday destination for a few days of mountain hiking, sailing, mountain biking or pretty much anything you can think of! Lake Como, a different pace completely!
Lake Garda and Lake Como are like chalk and cheese, while one may be all about action and adventure, Lake Como runs at a slower pace and is surrounded by picture perfect and charming towns, like Bellagio. I’d recommend staying in the palatial Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni which was built around 1883 and has everything you could need. Take the ferry or drive into Como and treat yourself to dinner at i Tigli in Theoria, a one star Michelin rated restaurant that prides itself on Italian cuisine and passionate staff.
